I am from Arizona and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to attend LDS Business College for two years working as a full time student. That time went by so fast! I have since graduated and had the opportunity to make all my schooling into the real deal! For one of my classes, it was required that I do an internship. I walked into a local tile company here in Salt Lake City that one of my friends told me about and the sweet owner, Julie let me be her intern. I was so excited and learned so much about tile for the few short months I worked there. I feel so glad that I was given that opportunity to work for her and love that I now have this special knowledge all about tile. Once that Internship was over, I started applying for others just to gain more experience. I found this design firm called Studio McGee and fell in love with their style and design (p.s. check out their website!). Studio McGee is my dream job and although they were not hiring for an intern, I applied anyway and was contacted several months later. Come to find out, the company had never had an intern before and I was lucky enough to be their first one! I started working for them in December of 2014 and got offered a job as a jr. designer in April 2015. Everyday I go into work the time goes by so fast because it doesn't feel like I am working - I love it so much. I love the team I work with there and am so happy and privileged to be apart of it. Not only that, I can't wait to see where my design career will take me and what I will be able to achieve in my life. I am so passionate about Interior Design. It is truly a LOT more work than it seems, but it is so rewarding.
